Peter Fleming

Moving directly to our next speaker we heard from Peter Fleming a former leader of Sevenoaks District Council and LGA Chair Improvement and Innovation.

Peter provided an overview of their process and vision to become a self-sufficient council from direct government funding, running a balanced 10 year rolling budget, in-house services and using investment property to support services to, and the priorities of, its residents. He outlined his expectations of customer service and noted the most valuable employees for him were new employees. New employees are the most valuable because the wondered around asking why we do that.
